BEFORE SIXTEEN

In his early to mid teens, in fact between the ages of 14 and 16, BD became fascinated with the camera

He began photographing in his neighborhood . Possibly the first venue was his school where crowds of people were available.

Then he began photographing people at the local newstand. In time the newstand owner who he showed his pictures to invited him to come into the booth and photograph people buying papers and looking at magazines. These became his very first portraits. The small selection shown below already hinted at the photographic vision that was to come.
