After the age of sixteen Vidibor decided to wander from photography to school and eventually majored and did graduate work in Philosopy.
On a trip to Maine he became mesmerized with the lighting on the coast in Eastport where the fog went out at 2pm and came back in at 4.
He exclaimed to his wife, “Oh what I could do with this mist with a camera.
He decided then and there to reacquaint himself with his old cameras.
Upon arriving back home he established a darkroom in a spare bedroom and began to take pictures again.
Wih a more mature eye an dvisiton his started experimenting in the suburban area we resided in while still communting to NYC and working full time for the Heart Association of NY.
His travels took him througjout the state, but having been involved in human relations and also problems of the elderly he decided to male it his mission to document the subject.
Thus emerged the Old Age series.
The photographs were taken at a local residential facility where because of his prior connection with health and the aged he was given permission to photograph residents at the home.
They were all eager and willing to be his subjects.
A portion of the series was selection for an honorary eight page spread in Infinity, the journal of the Society of Photographic Educators.
Many of the pictures went on to be published in major publications.
The small collection shown here represents that publication, now defunct, and several additional prints from the series.
